Board-certified radiologists who average over 15 years of experience in radiology and consulting.
Dr. Seth Crapp is not just a radiologist—he is a leader, an innovator, and a passionate advocate for accessible and specialized healthcare. With a career rooted in excellence, he has dedicated his life to bridging the gap in diagnostic imaging services through advanced teleradiology solutions.
As the founder and president of Specialty Focused Radiology or SFR (formerly South Florida Radiology), Dr. Crapp has built physician-led organizations that provide critical imaging services across the country. Understanding the disparities in healthcare, he has tailored his practice to ensure that both adult and pediatric patients receive the highest level of diagnostic care, regardless of their location.
His journey is one of determination and service. Graduating from Florida International University with a degree in chemistry, he pursued his medical education at Meharry Medical College, a historic institution dedicated to training physicians committed to serving underserved communities. He further honed his expertise at the University of Florida College of Medicine, where he served as Chief Resident in radiology, followed by a fellowship in pediatric imaging at Vanderbilt University.
Beyond his clinical impact, Dr. Crapp is deeply involved in shaping the future of medicine. As a member of the American College of Radiology (ACR) Commission on General, Small, Emergency & Rural Practices, executive board member of the Bay Area Medical Association, he advocates for policies that enhance healthcare accessibility and equity. His leadership extends to various nonprofit boards, including the Florida International University Alumni Association Board, reflecting his commitment to community service and mentorship.
Dr. Crapp's work is not just about reading scans—it’s about saving lives, enhancing patient outcomes, and ensuring that every child and adult has access to top-tier imaging services. Through his pioneering efforts in teleradiology, he is redefining the way radiology services are delivered, making healthcare more efficient, accurate, and compassionate.
His story is one of vision, impact, and legacy—a testament to what happens when passion meets purpose in the ever-evolving world of medicine.
Dr. Seth Crapp founded Specialty Focused Radiology on a core principle: diagnostic excellence should never be separated from compassionate care. His dual board certifications in diagnostic radiology and pediatric radiology reflect a commitment to subspecialty expertise that directly translates to better patient outcomes.
Dr. Crapp’s experience as Chief Resident at University of Florida Shands and fellowship training at Vanderbilt University’s Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital shaped SFR’s commitment to quality assurance, rapid turnaround times, and clinical consultation protocols that exceed industry standards.
Trained at Meharry Medical College, a historic institution dedicated to serving underserved populations, Dr. Crapp built SFR to specifically target radiologist shortage areas, ensuring rural hospitals and underserved communities gain access to subspecialty imaging expertise.
Unlike corporate teleradiology providers, SFR operates under physician leadership, ensuring clinical decisions drive business strategy rather than the reverse. This structure attracts top-tier radiologists seeking autonomy and professional fulfillment.
As Vice President of the Florida State Medical Association and active participant in healthcare policy development, Dr. Crapp ensures SFR stays ahead of regulatory changes while advocating for teleradiology practices that benefit both patients and referring physicians.
This leadership approach has positioned SFR as a trusted partner for hospitals seeking more than just coverage—they’re seeking a collaborative relationship with radiologists who understand their operational challenges and share their commitment to patient care.
